Jeg har nu vært en tur i domkirken - med mit kamera. Ved sammenligning med din afbildning (dette foto, red.) fremgår det tydeligt, at dit billede ikke forestiller Peder Lodehat, men derimod Absalon. Som du kan se bærer Lodehat en rød tiara og en rød underdragt.

Men både Absalon og Lodehat er malet af Hans Hansen (1769-1828) (far til Constantin Hansen), der underviste på Kunstakademiet. De er som tidligere nævnt lavet i begyndelsen af 1800-tallet. Portrætligheden skal man ikke fæstne lid til! De er lavet på baggrund af gravsten.

Ellers blev grundstammen i bisperækken, der I dag hænger i koromgangen, kommet til i 1753, da biskop Peder herslev lod 13 bispeportrætter ophænge, først i Konventhuset, siden overflyttet til domkirkens Riddersal over Hellogtrekongers Kapel og fra o. 1830 i koromgangen.
