I thinkyou have made a re-markably clear, con-nected and vivid narra-tive of Chapter 37. Inregard to the last chap-ter, Lincolns Fame, Iread your fathers ad-dress first, and thoughtthat that would make anadmirable ending by it-self, but on reading yourchapter, I see you havetaken the greater partof mine and added to ityour fathers address. Ithink that is all right ifyour prefer it that way;but do you not thinkthat taking so much ver-batim from the Historywill necessitate callingyour work on the titlepage, an abridgment ofthe original work?
