English: Above the woods The way down from Carnedd Meibion Owen affords an aerial view of Coed Ty-canol, with the new leaves of the trees, mostly oak, forming a patchwork of subtle greens.
The light-coloured rocks to be seen peeping through the canopy mark the location of a fortified prehistoric camp. In the middle ages the wood, which was the property of feudal barons, extended further up and was known as Coed Cilruth. |
