Summary[edit]
DescriptionA section of Nash Sands exposed by extra low tide - geograph.org.uk - 1158772.jpg |
English: A section of Nash Sands exposed by extra low tide The Bristol Channel in this area has a range of sand bars stretching as far as Porthcawl. Today's extra low tide has exposed this section. It was because of their danger to shipping that the lighthouses at Nash Point were built.
Erosion of some parts of the coast has occurred because the sand bars are regularly dredged for commercial purposes. |
