Wilham D.Ryan, pastor of the Christian church, at thetime of Mr. Means death, February 14, 1910,and it is particularly apropos of his life. John Means was one of the founders ofAshland, Kentucky, and was one of the mostactive factors in its subsequent upbuildingand development, besides which he was an es-sentially progressive business man, carryingsuccessfully forward large industrial and fi-nancial interests.
