the city ofLouisville was the late Frank Fehr, who wasa citizen of sterling character, honored by allwho knew him and infiuential in both civicand industrial affairs in the city that so longrepresented his home and in which his deathoccurred on the 15th of March. 1891. Frank Fehr was born at Zinsweiler, Ger-many, in the year 1841, and in his native landwas reared to maturity, there receiving theadvantages of the excellent common schoolsand also learning the brewery business undermost favorable conditions. Dependent uponhis own resources, he determined to establishhis home in America, where he felt assuredhe could find better opportunities for the win-ning of success and independence through hisindividual efforts. As a young man he emi-grated to the United States and he landed inthe city of Baltimore.
