| Description |
English: A first sign of spring. These snowdrops are growing by the wall surrounding the church of SS Peter and Paul > 871489. Snowdrops often show up weeks before crocuses do, and will often poke through a covering of snow and in the south may even bloom all winter long. The Latin name 'Galanthus' means milk-white flowers. Snowdrops will naturalise quite readily and are normally avoided by deer and rodents. See > 1132617 for a more detailed view. |
