Cold Frame Beds of Tomato Plants at our Milford, Connecticut, Breeding Grounds Dwarf Champion Desirable where space is limited. Plant of dwarf tree type, with dark green leaves. Fruits medium, smooth, solid, pink in color; globular, flattened. Early Detroit A mid-season sort with rather heavy, highl)^ productive plants. Used largely for winter shipping. Fruits medium large, semi-globular; pur- plish pink, quite smooth and solid. GOLDEN QUEEN The leading large yellow variety for main crop planting. Vine of medium size. Fruits medium large, deep golden yellow; smooth, rather solid, of mild flavor. Gulf State Market Developed from Early Detroit, and used widefy in the South for ship- ment to Northern markets. Vine vigorous, rather open, medium height. Fruits medium large, globular, smooth, purplish pink, thick- skinned, very solid and quite free from cracking. JUNE PINK The earliest of the pink fruited varietites. Vine is open, spreading, and rather short. Fruits medium size, flattened, smooth; color purplish pink. Sometimes called Pink Earliana. Livingston's Beauty One of the best pink fruited sorts, medium late in season. Plants sturdy, vigorous and prolific. Fruits medium large, deep-flat, smooth, purplish pink, solid, of good quality. LIVINGSTON'S GLOBE Originated by Livingston Seed Company. An excellent variety used largely in the South for shipping; also well adapted to greenhouse production. Vine strong, with heavy foliage; prolific. Fruits large, full globe, smooth; purplish pink, ripen evenly. Days from setting plants to marketable fruits 86 81 84 80 69 84 82
