Summary[edit]

Description A blimp view of the mammoth twin hangers at Pulham, England, that house the giant British dirigibles R-34 and R-33. Lack of a hangar in this country large enough to shelter the R-34 ade her recent stay at Mineola hazardous in the extreme. The R-34's wonderful round trip to American has so encouraged the British Air Ministry that they are now planning to send her sister ship, the R-33, on a twenty-day voyage to India. England has started construction on another super-dirigible, 1,100 feet long, with five times the lifting capacity of the R-34, a cruising radius of 16,000 miles 16,000 miles (26,000 km). This blimp with two hangars will cost $9,000,000 ($130,059,500 in 2019).
