Summary[edit]

Description
English: This "movie" of Pluto and its largest moon, Charon, was taken by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft as it raced toward Pluto in January 2015. Covering a parial rotation of Charon around Pluto, the 6 images that make up the movie were taken January 25-31 with the spacecraft’s best telescopic camera – the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) – at distances beginning from a range of about 203,000,000 km (126,000,000 mi)). Charon is orbiting approximately 18,000 km (11,000 mi) above Pluto's surface.
