Summary[edit]

Description
English: Apollo 15 Hasselblad image from film magazine 90/PP - EVA-2.
This version is strongly contrast-enhanced from the original. A labeled version of this photograph is figure 5-97 (a) of the Apollo 15 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-289, 1972), which has the following caption:
View at station 6A showing albedo variations in clasts and matrix. (a) Presampling, down-Sun, closeup photograph of 3-m-wide breccia boulder; scale is not shown because of steep slope. (b) Sketch map of surface textures on boulder showing locations of samples 15400 and 15405 from east end.
The boulder is the "green boulder", on the slope of Mons Hadley Delta. AS15-90-12199 and AS15-90-12200 form a stereo pair.
