Our brethren who have lately gone toAfrica would probably not work in Mackays way,nor he in theirs. But God can and does use both.And alongside the love, and fervour, and simplicitywhich we trust may always be illustrated in Africa,may God give to some of His missionary servantsthe practical ability and skill, the wide knowledge,the readiness of resource, the invincible devotion tothe work he had undertaken,—that characterizedAlexander Mackay.
