English: The NOAA National Hurricane Center is closely watching a broad area of low pressure over the eastern Bay of Campeche that is producing disorganized cloudiness and showers. Although the upper-level winds are not currently conducive for development, they are forecast to become more favorable over the next couple of days. There is a medium chance of the system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. This image is from GOES East at 1745Z on June 27, 2011. |
