Staffers from the NRC Region I Office take part in the 8th annual Philly Materials Science and Engineering Day on Feb. 3, 2018. Hosted by Drexel University, the event gives students the opportunity to learn about materials science and engineering in a hands-on manner. At the event, NRC staff show students how radiation-detection equipment works and discuss the basics of #nuclear power plant operations.
