Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_83795_געדת ביצות_3.JPG Notes: מתוך סדרת נופי צומח צמחי ביצה ומים של עוזי פז.צמח עשבוני רב-שנתי נדיר, שרוי בסכנה חמורה של הכחדה, בעיקר בגלל פגיעה בבתי-גידולו. גובהו 40–90 ס"מ. כולו מכסיף ומכוסה שער-משי לבן.געדת הביצות פורחת בקיץ, מיוני עד אוקטובר, כדרכם של צמחים רבים בבית-הגידול הלח, צמחים שאינם סובלים מחוסר-מים בקיץ.גדלה בגדות ביצות ונחלים עם מים מתוקים בחבל הימתיכוני. היא שרויה בסכנת-הכחדה, בגלל הרס נופים אלה. היא נותרה כיום במקומות בודדים במישור החוף ובעמק החולה.השם המדעי נקרא על-שם טויקר מלך טרויה, שהכיר בסגולותיו למרפא.
