Description
English: Eran is an ancient city mentioned in Buddhist and Hindu texts. It was a major coin minting center in ancient India. A capital of a region during the Gupta Empire rule in 3rd through 5th centuries CE, it built many temples and monuments. Of these a few have survived into the 21st century. This complex of Hindu temples is located to the west of the town.
