| Description |
-Photo by Kathy Munsel, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife- Willow Creek (pictured here in late summer) is a 125-acre reservoir located on the southeast end of Heppner. Facilities include a day park, boat launch docking facilities, handicapped parking and an accessible restroom. The reservoir supports a wide array mammals and waterfowl, including buffleheads, Canada geese, osprey, ducks and beavers. Trout fishing is best in the winter and spring months and crappie and bass fishing takes off as water temperatures warm in the spring. Fish for rainbow trout, large and smallmouth bass, crappie and brown bullhead. |
