Description
  • Italiano: Cippo funerario (sec.
  • English: Gravestone for Gaius Caesius Faustus (Inscriptiones Italiae, X V, 352). Freedman of Gaius Caesius, he built the tomb for himself, his illegitimate son Gaius Cesius Nothus, Gaius Caesius (his former master's son), Valeria Galla (freedwoman of Lucius Valerius: possibily his concubine?) and for Lucius Cornelius Eleutherus. The gravestone dates from the first century AD, and it is exhibited in the archaeological Santa Giulia Museum, in Brescia, Italy. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, June 25 2011.
