Summary[edit]

Description 330-PS-2884 (USN 708656): WAVE guests at Annapolis. Thirteen WAVE officers of the group of eighty-five WAVES and ex-WAVES who visited the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, on July 27, 1952, receive the “march past” from a group of middies on the steps of Bancroft Hall. Lieutenant Colonel Dale H. Heely, USMC, (left), of the faculty, was one of the escort officers to the visitors. The group was guests of Vice Admiral Harry W. Hill, USN, Superintendent of the Academy, the faculty, and midshipmen students. The visit was part of the celebration of the Tenth Anniversary of the WAVES inclusion as an official branch of the U.S. Navy. Photograph released July 28, 1952. (5/12/2015).
