Description
Nederlands: Gezicht op de voormalige Cokesfabriek in Maastricht. De Cokesfabriek werd in 1912 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van Jan Gerko Wiebenga. Het gebouw was oorspronkelijk onderdeel van de Gemeentelijke Gasfabriek, daarna een fabriekshal van Radium Rubber. In 2015 werden diverse aanbouwen gesloopt, onder andere vanwege de Noorderbrugaanlanding, die er vlak langs loopt (rechts op de foto). Sinds 2019 is het gestripte en in zeer slechte staat verkerende gebouw eigendom van de kunstenaar-ontwerper Valentin Loellmann, die het eigenhandig restaureert en transformeert tot een kunstencentrum. Achter het gebouw is de Radium schoorsteen zichtbaar.
