Description
Deutsch: 08.03.2004 01328 Dresden-Weißig: Evangelische Kreuzkirche Weißig, Hauptstraße (GMP: 51.059161,13.88688). Ihre Geschichte ist seit 1270 belegt. Sie ist geprägt vom Umbau durch den Dresdner Architekten Woldemar Kandler von 1901. Sie präsentiert sich seitdem als Saalkirche mit Querhaus und Rechteckchor. Holzemporen auf drei Seiten gliedern den Raum, der Jugendstilornamente erhielt, die später aber übermalt wurden. Erst bei der Renovierung 2000 wurden sie wieder freigelegt.
