Description
Deutsch: 02.05.2003 39365 Sommerschenburg (Sommersdorf), Schloßhof: Gneisenau Schloß Sommerschenburg (GMP: 52.169535,11.098700). Im Jahre 1056 wird die Burg im Besitz von Lothar von Walbeck erstmals genannt. Es folgen etliche Besitzerwechsel. 1192 wurde die Burg zerstört und wieder aufgebaut. 1814 erhielt der preußische Feldherr August Wilhelm Anton Graf Neidhardt von Gneisenau (1760-1831) die Burg. Neben dieser Dotation wurde ihm vom König Friedrich Wilhelm III. für seine Verdienste in der Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig der Grafentitel verliehen. Der heute sichtbare Teil der Sommerschenburg entstand 1895-1897 nach Plänen des Architekten Doberentz. Sicht von Nordosten aus der Badelebener Straße. [F20030501B02.jpg]20030502040NR.JPG(c)Blobelt
