Deutsch: 31.01.2001 06484 Quedlinburg: Blick von Westen zum Schloßberg mit den Westtürmen (GMP: 51.086860,11.136560) der Stiftskirche St. Servatius (auch Qudlinburger Dom genannt). Quedlinburg wurde 922 als 'villa Quitlingaburg' urkundlich genannt, Königshof mit alter Wehranlage auf dem Schloßberg. Königspfalz Heinrichs I. und von 966 bis 1802 als Stiftsburg genutzt. Im 11. Jahrhundert wurde die romanische Stiftskirche geweiht. Gegen Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts Gründung der Altstadt. Das Renaissanceschloß entstand in der zweiten Hälfte des 16.
