Description
English: A black-and-white rendition of the winning design in Milwaukee's 1950 flag design contest. It features a ribbon with the name "Milwaukee" over three gears labeled "HOMES", "INDUSTRY", and "SHIPPING". This design was never officially adopted by the city, though some elements were later re-purposed for Milwaukee's first official flag in 1954.
