English: Martyrdom of Saint Leodegar (Leger) of Autun. Painting on spruce. The painting links traditional Bavarian forms with Upper Italian aspects, as seen in the costumes and spatialization of the figures. The composition is inspired by Dürer's woodcut the "Martyrdom of the Ten Thousand". The river landscape is reminiscent of Passau.
Deutsch: Martyrium des hl. Leodegar von Autun. Das Gemälde verbindet traditionelles bayerisches Formgut mit oberitalienischen Merkmalen in Kostüm und Verräumlichung der Figuren. Die Komposition ist durch Dürers Holzschnitt der „Marter der Zehntausend“ angeregt. Die Flusslandschaft erinnert an Passau.
