Description
English: This illustration depicts a number of trematode species eggs, which have been found in human stool specimens. Trematodes are members of the class, Trematoda, within the phylum, Platyhelminthes, or flatworms, also known as parasitic flukes. Those species illustrated here, included Schistosoma japonicum, S. mansoni, S. haematobium, Clonorchis sinensis, Opisthorchis felineus, Heterophyes heterophyes, Metagonimus yokogawai, Paragonimus westermani, Fasciola hepatica, and Fasciolopsis buski.
