תיאור: פתח תקווה אם המושבות
הערות: המתיישבים הראשונים של פתח תקווה גרו ביפו ונסעו בבוקר למושבה, כדי להכשירה. ב 1878 הצליחו המתיישבים להגיע למקור מים, והבאר הראשונה שחפרו במושבה נחנכה. למתיישבים לא הייתה הכשרה וידע חקלאי. בחורף מי הירקון הציפו את בתי המושבה. יתושים הפיצו קדחת ורבים מתו. ב1880 ננטשה המושבה. ב 1887 הברון רוטשילד סייע למתיישבים לחזור, במימון הגנתם, ולהכשרה חקלאית. ב 1905 החלו להגיע מרוסיה החלוצים, בעלייה השנייה, שהביאו אורח חיים ותרבות שונה. האמינו בתחייה הלאומית ע"י עבודת האדמה, ופעלו לעבודה עברית. פ"ת עיר מ1937.
