תיאור: גביעונית הלבנון
הערות: מתוך סדרת נופי צומח פרחים של עוזי פז. צמח רב-חן, מתנשא כמגדל-פעמונים. הפרחים נראים צנועים, ומלוא יופיים מתגלה רק במבט מקרוב. זהו גיאופיט גבוה, עד 100 ס"מ. פורחת בראשית האביב, בפברואר ובמרס. גדלה בקרקעות שונים. היא נפוצה בארץ באזורי ההר והשפלה הימתיכוניים ובחבל הספר. בדרום הארץ גדל זן שפרחיו ארגמניים, והוא נקרא פעם בשם גביעונית ערבית, אך כלול במין גביעונית הלבנון. השם המדעי משמעו גביע קטן להטלת קוביות, והוא מרמז כמובן על צורת הפרח.
