Description

USAID Power Distribution Program in liaison with USEA organized a Utility Exchange Program in Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa from November 12- 19, 2011.Twelve delegates were selected from 9 DISCOS of Pakistan. The delegates visited the following number of power companies in South Africa: 1 .Johannesburg City Power 2. Tshwane Energy & Electricity Division 3. Eskom

The main focus of the Program was learning best practices and functions in Engineering Management, Planning and Operations. Such exposure visits will enable the DISCOs participants to support and propose such best practices and technological initiatives to improve utility business in Pakistan.
