Summary[edit]

Description
English: An Oak Tree near Bourne wood in the town of Bourne, Lincolnshire, England. This noble specimen is rooted in my neigbour's garden, in ground too soft to support a huge forest canopy tree. Year on year it leaned to the east, and year on year the growing point turned freshly upwards. It is now supported by a 1.3m tall stump of an erstwhile conifer, and had not leaned much further than this horizontal trunk, with upright crown.
