中文：图为1948年1月31日，上海舞女游行队伍到社会局大楼前抗议“禁舞令”在上海实行。1947年9月国民党政府发布禁舞令，舞女们为争取生存权利，抗议禁舞令，发起成立了上海舞女联谊会，并加入国民党妇女组织上海妇女会，强烈要求政府解决舞女转业问题，并提出了“要饭吃，要转业”，“我们不要当舞女”等口号，掀起了舞潮，遭国民党政府拒绝。舞女们举行游行示威，上海市社会局索贿贪污，将一个大舞厅改为妓院，舞女们为免于沦为娼妓，于1948年1月31日到社会局请愿。社会局长拒绝接见请愿代表，并派军警前来制止，与舞女发生冲突。舞女们冲入机关大楼，将蒋介石像踩在脚下，切断电话，砸烂文具、设备、桌椅、门窗、玻璃。大批军警赶来武装镇压，多人被打伤，797人被捕。最终国民党当局妥协，取消禁舞令。

(For the People's Republic of China, the URAA took effect on January 1, 1996. For the Republic of China (ROC), the URAA took effect on January 1, 2002.[1])
