中文:图为1948年1月31日,上海舞女游行队伍到社会局大楼前抗议“禁舞令”在上海实行。1947年9月国民党政府发布禁舞令,舞女们为争取生存权利,抗议禁舞令,发起成立了上海舞女联谊会,并加入国民党妇女组织上海妇女会,强烈要求政府解决舞女转业问题,并提出了“要饭吃,要转业”,“我们不要当舞女”等口号,掀起了舞潮,遭国民党政府拒绝。舞女们举行游行示威,上海市社会局索贿贪污,将一个大舞厅改为妓院,舞女们为免于沦为娼妓,于1948年1月31日到社会局请愿。社会局长拒绝接见请愿代表,并派军警前来制止,与舞女发生冲突。舞女们冲入机关大楼,将蒋介石像踩在脚下,切断电话,砸烂文具、设备、桌椅、门窗、玻璃。大批军警赶来武装镇压,多人被打伤,797人被捕。最终国民党当局妥协,取消禁舞令。

Works of Chinese origin that have entered the public domain in the U.S. due to certain circumstances (such as publication in noncompliance with U.S. copyright formalities) may have had their U.S. copyright restored under the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA) if the work was under copyright in its country of origin on the date that the URAA took effect in that country. (For the People's Republic of China, the URAA took effect on January 1, 1996. For the Republic of China (ROC), the URAA took effect on January 1, 2002.[1])
