English: The Hermitage (Russia, Peterhof) was constructed in 1721-1725 according to the project of architect I.F.Braunstein. In 1756-1757 the masters working for B.F.Rastrelli made restoration of decorative details, and B.F.Rastrelli magnificently decorated the upper hall of the Hermitage. In 1941–1944 Hermitage it was damaged during the Great Patriotic War. In 1952 after the partial restoration it was open for visitors. |
