English: Spc. Doketa Thompson, company armorer; 1st Lt. Chalonda Estelle, company executive officer; and Sgt. 1st Class Anthony Wise, distribution platoon sergeant, all with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment- “Dreadnaughts,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, led the company in a one-mile run on the Morale, Welfare and Recreation track at Camp Buehring, Kuwait Sept. 11. The run was led by the "Dreadnaught" females to honor their brothers and sisters-in-arms, and civilians who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, and Shankville, Pennsylvania. The run began at exactly 9:11 a.m. to commemorate the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The 9/11 Remembrance Run was sponsored by the “Dreadnaught” Women’s Resiliency program. |
