Summary[edit]
Description'Dragons' Display Osprey for JASDF on Futenma 141030-M-TF269-151.jpg |
English: U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Trevor A. Wilk, left, from Jacksonville, South Carolina, receives a gift from Japan Air Self-Defense Force service members Oct. 30 following a viewing of a static display of an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. “Whether the JASDF service members remember one thing from today or everything, when they look back on this day, they will remember the Osprey, walking on it, sitting on it and smelling it,” said Wilk. “It’s a very different kind of aircraft, but hopefully this familiarization and introduction to it will encourage them to be Osprey advocates.” The JASDF service members are students at the JASDF Air Officer Candidate School. Wilk is the safety and standardization officer for Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
