Summary[edit]

Description

I just love putting up these images from the Stereo Pairs Collection! There is something other worldly about them, a really distinctive view into the past and in stereo to boot! This image with its long and convoluted catalogue description has really caught my fancy with the mix of aspects, the bridge, the stone walls, the ruins, the apparently 'in use' church buildings and the more modern structures in the background. Who will be first to identify them and give us a location - The Lemur, Sharon, Niall, That guy from the land down under? Lets go....

And indeed it was [/photos/gnmcauley/ Niall] (quickly corroborated by [/photos/23885771@N03/ Stuart]) who gave us the location - as the church and abbey at Cong, County Meath. Confirming that very little around here remains unknown for too long...
