| Description |
I travelled about 2.5 hours from the bay area to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains nearly 45 miles outside of Yosemite National Park searching for cosmic light and the galactic center of the Milky way. I had a vision of the bright center of our galaxy traversing over the high sierra mountain ranges sharing its colorful beauty with earth. When i arrived onsite, the moon was just setting and a light fog was moving through concealing the starlight i sought out for. I set up and considered my trip may have been in vain, thankfully, a few moments later as i moved my eyes from the camera viewfinder, the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius came into brilliant view over the horizon. After reviewing my shots from the back of the camera i noticed the color and immense detail shown inside the milky way, it was like a nocturnal kaleidoscope bringing life to the sky. it was a beautiful experience, im happy to share this image _Image Detail_ Shutter 382 seconds 14mm focal length Aperture F2.8 ISO 3200 Sony Alpha a390 DSLR Rokinon 14mm F2.8 ultrawide lens tripod
