| Description | Tambour Eller, (second from right) the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Sacramento District's deputy district engineer for programs and project management; Jim Holmes, Placer County District 3 Supervisor (center); and Mike Montgomery, Assistant Director, Water Division, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 9; participate in a sewer project ribbon cutting in Placer County, California, April 24, 2015. The project saves the county and taxpayer money by connecting a rural area to a larger treatment facility in Roseville, rather than building an entirely new treatment facility. The Sacramento District reimbursed around $4 million to Placer County for project design and construction work on its $14 million Sewer Maintenance District 3 Regional Sewer Project, and provided design review and directed federal environmental regulation compliance.
