Scope Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope:
Ceramics of the Dome of the Rock Mosque
Used in Global usage
Reason This image is part of a nominated VIS in a different scope but this may be the best example in the Tiles in Israel scope. The façade of the Dome of the Rock (Temple Mount, Jerusalem) was covered in İznik tile (1545—52) by Suleiman the Magnificent. İznik tile is a decorated ceramic made in the Anatolia region of Turkey from the late 1400’s to the late 1600’s. -- Godot13 (talk)

Comment The scope is too broad it should reduce. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 07:47, 19 January 2013 (UTC) ✓ Done I had difficulty finding the best scope for this image. I created a sub-category/scope in line with another found under İznik Ceramnics. - Godot13 (talk) 08:15, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scope changed from Category:Tiles in Israel to Category:Ceramics of the Dome of the Rock Mosque --Godot13 (talk) 08:15, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
