Oppose First, the file is not categorized. Second, no description of how the file was made is presented on the file description page. Is this the shape of the molecule in solution or in chrystalline form or just some random conformation? Third, I think the animation is far too fast to properly describe the molecle. Fourth, I think the desription in English on in the image should be removed. A valued image should be possible to use in all language versions. It is common practise to use different colours for different kinds of atoms when making 3D representations of them. Why not here? Even though I have studied organic chemistry at college level, I have no clue from this image allone of the chemical properties of this compund or in which part of the molecule that the active groups are located. Which part of the molecule is acidic, and why? Where are the double bouds? I think a standard Lewis structure would provide much more information about the chemical properties of this molecule. --Korall (talk) 23:49, 15 January 2010 (UTC) |
