Scope | Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope: Count Alexandre Colonna-Walewski, photograph |
Used in | fr:Alexandre Colonna-Walewski, fr:Traité de Paris (1856) and many others. |
Reason | illegitimate son of Napoleon I by one of his mistresses, the polish en:Countess Marie Walewska, he was a diplomat and a minister of foreign affairs in the Government of Napoleon III. This picture is from 1856, out of a photo album celebrating the success of the en:Congress of Paris (1856), ending the en:Crimean War. High size, difficult restoration of a damaged picture (original available as first upload in file page, as usual). Best in scope IMO because of resolution and sharpness, especially of the face: he really looks like his illustrious father ! No geocode needed, because it is a homework. -- Jebulon (talk) |
