The reason for the blur might be that you can not carry a tripod there. Stupidly enough I was badly prepaired and had only 50 ASA film (Velvia, which is also not the best for the colors) with me. So I puted my camera with the 20mm lens on a post on top of the staircase to avoid shaking. I think the blurriness caused by shaking is not very hard.
