  •  Oppose -- Good composition, but disagree with shadows that partially encompass the building.Fotoriety (talk) 22:47, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Sorry, if I had known this, I would have asked the Taj Mahal to step aside so as not to cast it's shadow on our subjectClin. If you were observant enough, you would have noticed the shadow has a little outline of the Taj structure. Jokes apart, why exactly do you think the shadow is a problem here? I believe most of the main subject, is under the oblique sunlight. Even the portions, that are in shadow are clearly visible and has good details, because the light is soft and the resulting shadow is not harsh or too contrasty. I actually thought that the play of light adds to the mood of the photo. New information, in case you decide to change your mind :) --Dey.sandip (talk) 00:16, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Please don't take personal offense. Shadows of themselves are not a bad thing. However, the way shadows are shown in a photo can be a bad thing. For example if this photo had the shadow of a large out-of-frame tree covering half the building, would you consider that very professional? I hope not. Likewise, you have allowed an out-of-frame building to cast a partial shadow on your subject. Besides, this photo would be much better without any shadows, since it would bring out a stronger contrast between the whites and pink of the subject.Fotoriety (talk) 03:38, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • In fact, when I photographed the building, it was a conscious decision to use the shadow as an element in the photograph. But, I appreciate your views about the shadows and I am glad that you think the composition is good. --Dey.sandip (talk) 07:36, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
