- Info I've been sitting on this one for a few months, not sure if I should nominate it. I really like it as a scene (the light, color, composition, mix of urban geometry in the background with nature in the foreground, etc.). But I know it'll fail if evaluated instead just as a documentary shot of a squirrel. So we'll see what you think, I guess. :) all by — Rhododendrites talk | 14:47, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

- Comment The light is exquisite and the compo subtly showing how these animals have adapted to urban areas is great. --Cart (talk) 15:01, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- Question All a matter of taste, but would the crop I've indicated work? Charlesjsharp (talk) 16:43, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- That would give it almost the same tight crop as most FPs of squirrels as well as ruin the 'light and space' of this photo. I think a bit of diversity in animal photo compos is great. If this was our only FP(C) of a squirrel, a crop might be considered, but they are common animals with lots of FPs and photo opportunities, allowing for some creativity. Also a crop makes it harder to identify the pattern in the background as a building. It would look just like some undefined obscure object/fence/grate/whatever and the whole idea with the image would be lost. --Cart (talk) 17:18, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion, but more or less in line with what cart says, that would put the photo in a different category in which I don't feel like it works as well. — Rhododendrites talk | 21:02, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

- Comment I do not want to oppose, but there is an obvious discrepancy between the noise of the squirrel and and the branch, and the background --Llez (talk) 12:18, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
