- Umberto Campanari. Verdi's lawyer. As for the blown light - this is from 1900; that's.... just about when this sort of image starts to become practical, Timothy H. O'Sullivan's incredible work notwithstanding. It's in the grounds of Verdi's home, and it's well composed, there's only so much you can expect from this era of photography outside the studio.
