The galaxy Centaurus A
There is an alternative, slightly cropped version listed on the Commons page of the file. Possibly a better alternative? --Julian H. (talk/files) 18:32, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i think so...although i'm not too fussed. The crop just puts more appropriate focus on the galaxy - which i think we should be seeking.Fotoriety (talk) 23:52, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Added alt. version below, so everyone can choose. --Julian H. (talk/files) 13:38, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As noted in the description, this is a combination of three images, two from ESO and one from NASA. --Julian H. (talk/files) 15:09, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative[edit]

Crop, as proposed by Fotoriety (and already uploaded long ago as an alternative):
Black hole outflows from the galaxy Centaurus A

That's always a good thing if you can do that. Thanks.Fotoriety (talk) 23:15, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This crop is rendered from the original tiff-file, with no colour-influencing editing, so this should be the correct colours. JPEG compression is minimal, and I now got rid of some slight noise reduction that was in there before. --Julian H. (talk/files) 07:13, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I did some further editing now to get the crop closer to the uncropped version while maintaining the higher quality of this version. Is that better now? --Julian H. (talk/files) 17:14, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Support also for this version after the changes mentioned above. Pine 21:48, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
