  •  Weak oppose From a pure technical viewpoint the photo has undoubtlessly a very high quality. But I see nothing special justifying "Feautured picture". I only see an old half-timbered house. No interesting light, no special composition, no pregnant motive. -- Tuxyso (talk) 15:12, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment The situation at the building doesn't give a lot of space for changing the perspective, like you can see here (the nominated picture was taken from the right side of the street, and I had to stand very close to a wall to capture the whole building). I think you can't change a lot about the composition on that building. But is a "spectacular" composition really needed for FP? --Carport (talk) 15:34, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Probably my comment was unclear: I do not critisize your shooting technique, I am sure that you master your DSLR very well. For example a sunset behind the house letting the sunlight shining through the passage on the right would have made the photo to something special - that is my point. --Tuxyso (talk) 15:47, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Weak oppose This is very nice photo with excellent detail level and exquisite light of an interesting building in good shape. Congratz for that achievement. However, and this addresses the same point as mentioned by Tuxyso, it does not stand out as anything particular from a compositional point of view - for me. It lacks some "wow" - for me. Now, you ask as nominator if a picture really needs a "spectacular" composition? Well, I think no, but overall an image has to have something spectacular about it to be promoted. And what spectacular means depends very much on the observer. I would be surprised if there were not other reviewers who think so and will vote favorably for the nomination. I think by the way that there is a small stitching error (see annotation), not something serious. Fixed If I am correct it is a stitch I can recommend using the {{Panorama}} template, which gives some good options for indicating the number of frames in the stitch and the stitching software used. It adds value to the image page. --Slaunger (talk) 19:44, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment I wish more space on right even if it may be a part of another building. The ground floor and the courtyard are not sharp as the first floor, I afraid. JKadavoor Jee 05:22, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment Hugin had some problems in stitching. All of these should be removed meanwhile. More space on the right? Impossible whithout a new photo. But I made two additional versions: one with a bit more contrast and one cropped a bit. Maybe it's easyer to see if it's possible to improve the existing photo.--Hic et nunc (talk) 14:39, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
