The cemetery of San Diego, seen from El Panecillo, is located in the Historic Center of Quito, Ecuador. The cemetery was inagurated in 1872 in a location where fallen of the Battle of Pichincha (1822) had been buried. There have been entombed numerous significant people, including 5 presidents of the Republic of Ecuador.
Thanks, I now know the exact place from where the picture was taken. Unfortunately the quarter of San Roque, where the entry to the cemetery is located, is rather an unsafe place. --Cayambe (talk) 19:19, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
