Description
Alfred Reis (1882-1951) tells Georg Bredig (1902-1977) that he met his daughter Marianne Homburger (1902-1986), her husband Victor Homburger (1888-1968), and Victor's Brother Paul Homburger (1882-1965) in France while he was waiting for his Portuguese transit visa to be issued. Reis is excited to arrive in America and hopes to discuss his future research with Bredig. Reis was a chemist and professor who specialized in Physical chemistry, Photo-Chemistry, X-Ray methods, Metallurgy, and adsorption. Reis was a professor at the Technische Hochschule Berlin-Charlottenburg. Max Albert Bredig (1902-1977) helped Reis escape Europe during WWII.
