Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "Friday-

Dear Dad:

Just got in from a one month training cruise. We got our orders in such a hurry there was no time to write and pass on the scoop. While we were aboard there was no way to get a letter ashore, hence the prolonged silence.

From my viewpoint the cruise was a howling success. I’ve had Naval Gunnery crammed down my throat for almost a month and it was well worth it."
