Summary[edit]

Description
English: "I’ve been following Wickard’s doings fairly closely and was quite surprised with his proposed dealings with the five major crops, cotton, wheat, rice, tobacco and corn. I also read his article “Food will win the war and write the peace” in which he attempted to justify himself for his stand. When he was first appointed I thought we had one Cabinet member who was qualified to run his department, but I now think my belief was unfounded. What a collection of asses we have in the high places!

Well this is my last sheet of paper so I’ll now close. I think I’ve said too much anyhow, I’m apt to be run up for un-American activities any day.

Love,

Ed"
